Barbaresco Riserva 2013 – Cascina Baricchi

Natale Simonetta started his venture in 1996 so he could be considered ‘new’, but from the beginning he made a very traditional Barbaresco. His vineyards are 360m above the sea, on a beautifully ventilated valley, with the soil being soft clay, similar to La Morra’s soil, all giving a wine that is soft, refreshing, tannic at the same time. His wines are aged at least 2 years longer than required by law. Can easily age for 5-10 years.
